Verbs with pre- in the historical dictionary: practical solutions
Abstract
The article deals with practical questions of describing verbs with a prefix рrе- in the historical dictionary of the Russian language. Cognate verbs with prefixes реre- and рrе- may have both coincident and different semantic structures in the 18th century Russian language. The peculiarities of the semantic structure explain the lexicological correctness of both general and separate representations of this type of verbs in the dictionary. Numerous controversial issues arise in the lexicographical analysis of many verbs with рrе-. The controversial questions concern the nature of the interpretation, the references to the vocabulary article of relative verbs with реre-, the special relationship to the material with рrе-, which complements the published vocabulary articles of verbs with реre-/рrе- in their combined development, and others.
