About the Journal
"Slavic Historical Lexicology and Lexicography" is the journal aimed at encouraging the specialsts and enthusiasts in Slavic historical lexical studies to discuss a wide range of issues whose scale varies from history of individual words to generalizations on the processes of forming the national Slavic languages and their vocabulary, as well as from history of Slavic lexicography and analysis of historical dictionaries to new projects in historical lexicography.
The journal includes the following sections: historical lexicology, phraseology, Russian and Slavic derivational morphology, historical stylistics, language source study, lexicography, personal research heritage of particular scholars, and reviews of historical dictionaries and works on historical lexicology and lexicography.
In our project we strive to continue the scholarly tradition founded by the bulletin "Russian Historical Lexicology and Lexicography" issued in Leningrad University and later in St Petersburg University from 1972 till 2015. At the time this bulletin was the chief platform for discussing theoretical, practical and methodological issues in historical lexical and lexicographic studies. Our current project expands its field at the expedient of the papers describing phenomena throughout the whole Slavic areal. The issues published up to now contain works submitted by Russian scholars alongside with researchers from Belarus, Hungary, Italy, North Macedonia, Poland and Serbia.
Please submit your papers (in any Slavic language or in English) via e-mail: slavistlex@gmail.com. For further details on submission process access the section "For Authors".
Each publication is assigned a DOI, and the issues of the Journal are indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index. The Journal is certified by Roskomnadzor (Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media, certificate ПИ № ФС 77-84749 10.02.2023).
