Abstract
Current article is dedicated to the analysis of names of money in the late 17 – early 18 century Latin–Russian translation of the “Concise Description of the Kingdom of Algeria”. Russian translation of the Description of Algeria provides new materials for the history of the Russian vocabulary, related to the thematic group "Names of money", since most of the lexemes found in the text are not documented by the historical dictionaries of the Russian language.
