The dictionary of winged biblical expressions of the modern Belarusian literary language (with historical and etymological comments and phraseological correspondence in the modern Russian language)

The article is concerned with the principles of the lexicographic description of winged expressions, which go back to biblical texts and are widely used in the modern Belarusian literary language. A new methodology for a systematic comprehensive representation of winged biblical expressions in a special reference book of a universal type (a standard dictionary with historical and etymological comments, and phraseological correspondence in the modern Russian language) is proposed. Samples of dictionary entries have been developed. The purpose of the dictionary and its target audience are determined.
