Abstract
Current article is dedicated to the description of functioning of the verb vytravit’ in Ivan Aksakov’s journalistic texts. The semantics of the verb in his texts is considered against the background of the use of the word in the texts of other authors of the 19th century (30–70s). The specificity of the meaning of this word in the studied contexts was investigated in order to establish the role of the author's ideological position in the formation of the verb semantics.
