Korkina T. On a new source for researching into the Russian language of Peter the Great’s age: Russian translation of the trade agreement concluded between France and Lubek, Bremen, Hamburg SHLL, Vol. 4. 2021 , 137–165
Abstract

The publication introduces into scientific circulation in full a previously unexplored text of a handwritten Russian translation of a Trade agreement concluded between France and the German cities of Lubeck, Bremen and Hamburg in the second half of the 1710s. The manuscript is kept in the collection of the Peter I Library in the Manuscripts Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences Library. The text of the translation is small in volume, however it contains valuable material for studying the Russian language of the first half of the 18th century, as well as for enriching the Card index in the Dictionary of the Russian language of the 18th century. The publication is provided with a short preface, which describes the structure of the translation, makes assumptions about the original source, notes some features of the language (the text of the document contains vocabulary of different registers), highlights the main functional areas of the lexicon of the Treatise. An index of words follows the treatise.
